Spring is knocking on the door and the days until ROCKHARZ 2019 are melting constantly. Time to finalise the billing with a journey through the genres to present you the last nine bands. From soft to hard, from scene veterans to newcomers. Here we go:

KISSIN’ DYNAMITE

Indestructible hairstyles, a band name based on an AC / DC song and a continuous rise to one of the most exciting German heavy metal bands at the moment. KISSIN ‘DYNAMITE have established themselves during the last years, always provide a sea of flying hair live and have been delivering great songs since 2006 – including their 2018 album “Ecstasy”. In addition to seventh place in the German album charts, they even received the award as “Best German Metal Band” at the Metal Hammer Awards in 2018. Currently, all Germany dates of their tour are almost SOLD OUT. So the best conditions for a proper party: KISSIN ‘DYNAMITE!

CALIBAN

How the time flys … the guys who are one of the most important German Metalcore bands have visited ROCKHARZ in 2011. Now, It’s time for them to come back. In the meantime, they’ve released four albums and their latest one, “Elements” (2018), is running and running in our CD player. Please welcome them with a fast circle pit: CALIBAN!

VADER

VADER have rolled over the ROCKHARZ Open Air several times. Their Death Metal is merciless and usually only leaves a cloud of dust. In 2016, they set a further memorial with “The Empire” and in July, the quartet from Poland is going to set off again for the Harz Mountains. Polish Death Metal at its best!

BROTHERS OF METAL

This brotherhood from the beautiful country of Sweden has set themselves an ambitious goal: They want to breath new life into True Metal. They have proven that they are able to do that on their debut album “Prophecy Of Ragnarok,” which provides a bunch of sing-a-long anthems already. And you should definitely rehearse their choruses until July, because BROTHER OF METAL will be at ROCKHARZ Open Air 2019!

APOCALYPSE ORCHESTRA

Medieval sounds meeting the power of modern metal. This is how APOCALYPSE ORCHESTRA describes their sound, and this description could hardly be more appropriate. The boys from Sweden have found their style already and will blow you away on their ROCKHARZ premiere in July!

STAM1NA

In their Finnish homeland, STAM1NA already belong to the big names in Metal. In the local thrash scene, they are a serious insider tip. In 2018, they demolished so much that “Taival” had to be on every must-have list – in July they will be at the ROCKHARZ Open Air for the first time: STAM1NA!

BLOOD RED HOURGLASS

…and one more debut at the ROCKHARZ Open Air 2019. BLOODRED HOURGLASS already have an arsenal of punchy Groove Metal albums witht them but haven’t been in the Harz Mounatains before. Put them on your must-see list!

FROM NORTH

Beaware! The Vikings are coming with fresh blood from the far north. FROM NORTH are from Sweden and are highly motivated to take ROCKHARZ Open Air in July by storm. Get ready for a cold mix of folk and Viking Metal and prepare to join the other side before… because there’s nothing better than to swing the methorn!

FOLLOW THE CIPHER

It will become glorious at the ROCKHARZ Open Air 2019! Because these guys are from Falun, the one citiy in Sweden, where Sabaton and Twilight Force are from. FOLLOW THE CIPHER have signed with Nuclear Blast Records right from the stand and have on top of this released an outstanding debut album in May 2018, which offers Symphonic Metal at its best. No doubt you have to experience this band!
