ROCKHARZ. A FESTIVAL FOR EVERYONE!
We are organizing the ROCKHARZ Festival.
We want everyone to be able to come to our festival.
People with disabilities should also be able to come to our festival.
We have made rules and offers of help for this.
We want everyone to be able to party well at our festival.
Sometimes people with disabilities need more help.
We want to help these people particularly well.
We already did a lot to achieve this in 2023 and 2024.
We want to do even better this year.
Something is very important here:
You can write an e-mail.
The e-mail address is inklusion@rockharz.com.
You can ask questions there.
You can do this before the festival.
But also during the festival.
The inclusion team will receive the emails.
Inclusion means that everyone can be there.
The team takes care of your questions.
They talk to you about what you need.
They try to find solutions.
They do this for all people with different needs.
The festival is always working on getting better.
It wants people with disabilities to be able to use everything.
It wants to help where help is needed.
The offers and services are getting better and better.
They are also getting more.
You can check the website from time to time.
Or you can write an e-mail.
Offers for people who can’t do everything:
We have a campsite. There is a special tent camp on this campsite. This tent camp is called the inclusion camp. People with disabilities and their helpers can spend the night in the inclusion camp. You can also use electricity there if you need it. There is a separate registration point for the inclusion camp. At this point, visitors receive a wristband for the festival. You can also ask questions there. The registration desk is always open. There is a team that takes care of everything. This team comes from Lebenshilfe Braunschweig. The team is always there and takes care of everything that has to do with care. This can also be very difficult care. In 2024, many different people were part of the team. There was a head of care, a curative education nurse and a nurse for serious illnesses. a nurse for serious illnesses. There were also 4 home care nurses, 13 trainees, 3 trained nursing staff and 2 people who took care of registration. There were also 10 helpers who helped without pay. In total, there were 35 people who took care of everything. There is also a special container at the inclusion camp. You can be cared for in this container. For example, there is a lifting device for the ceiling and a lounger for showering. We use old conveyor belts from mines. These belts are now paths for wheelchairs. The paths also help people with poor eyesight. They can find their way around better. For example, they can find their way to the toilet on their own. We did this for the first time in 2024. The guests from the DBSV really liked it. DBSV stands for the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. It’s an association for people who have poor or no sight. We want to continue working with the DBSV and we have a medical supply store. You can borrow aids there. For example: wheelchairs. Or other things that sick people need. The medical supply store can also repair wheelchairs. We paint important things in a special color. This makes them easy to see. For example: dangerous places where you can trip. Or special entrances for people with poor eyesight. We have maps with food and drinks. The maps are displayed at many stands. They are there as a QR code. This is an image that you can scan with your cell phone. Then the cell phone reads out the card. We have toilets and showers without steps. That’s good for people in wheelchairs. They can also use the platforms without steps. And they can access the VIP area free of charge. This also applies to the people accompanying them. There are various places with special features on the festival site. At these places we have laid bridges over the cables. The bridges are made for wheelchairs. This means that people in wheelchairs can easily drive over the cables. We have a special sign. The sign is called the Sunflower badge. It looks like a sunflower. People with disabilities that you can’t see can wear this badge. wear this badge. For example, people with autism or ADHD. Our employees know what this badge means. They know how to deal with people who carry this sign. We also have special entrances. These entrances are designed for people with disabilities. This makes it easier for them to get to the infield, merch and the signing sessions. |

YOU HAVE A DISABILITY – How to get in
If you have a disability, you can bring one person with you free of charge.
This applies if you have a B or H on your disabled person’s ID card.
B means that you always need an accompanying person.
H means that you are helpless.
But you still need a ticket for the festival.
If you have any questions, you can write an e-mail.
The e-mail address is: inklusion@rockharz.com
But we have to tell you something else:
Our festival site is not easy to move around.
You may not be able to walk well there.
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES – Campsite
We have a special camping site.
The camping site is for people with disabilities.
We call this site: Inclusion Camp.
The inclusion camp is for 5 people.
If you are more than 5 people, there is another area.
Up to 10 people can camp there.
This area is opposite the inclusion camp.
If you are more than 10 people, you can book another pitch.
This pitch is on camping pitch R.
You can park your caravan there.
Here is the link for more information: https://www.rockharz-festival.com/vorabinfo-anreise-und-camping
Please let us know if you want to go to the inclusion camp or the other area.
Then we can plan better.
We need to know how many people are coming and what they need.
Please also send us proof of your disability.
For example, a severely disabled person’s ID card or a doctor’s certificate.
If you want to camp with your friends, please let us know.
Also let us know if someone in your group has a disability.
And please send us proof of this as well.
We will then try to give you a place close to the entrance.
