FAQ – Additional camping services

What is the difference between the Standard Camping, Campground R and Caravan Park camping areas?

The use of the standard campsite is included in your 4-day festival ticket. In addition to your tents, you can also bring your car, motorhome, van and transport trailer to this area. Caravans are not permitted in this area! Reservations are not possible in this area. The areas will be assigned by staff on site.

Campground R is located next to the tarmac runway. In this area you have the possibility to book group areas (from 10 persons) and also pitches with electricity (asphalt and green area). The areas will be measured by us in advance and marked with signs. You will receive a drive-through ticket with the respective area number or group name before you arrive.

The Caravan Park is a new area intended for guests with motorhomes and caravans. Here there is also the option for friends to pitch their tents in the areas next to your motorhomes/caravans (Caravan & Friends). There are also individual pitches for your camper/caravan in this area, which will be allocated on site. You also have the option of booking one of the limited Monday arrival tickets for this area.

 

Why are camper vans allowed on the standard campsite and caravans not?

The large number of caravans (car + caravan) makes it difficult to camp in the standard camping areas. The maneuvering of the caravans not only delays the arrival process, but also means that the areas cannot be used optimally.

 

Do I have to buy a ticket for standard camping?

No. The use of the standard camping site is already included in your 4-day festival ticket.

 

What is the difference between a pitch with electricity at the Caravan Park and at Campground R?

There must be at least one caravan or motorhome per pitch on the Caravan & Friends pitches. You have the option of placing additional cars and tents next to your motorhome/caravan. On the pitches with electricity in the Campground R area, there are no requirements regarding caravans / motorhomes. You can also book a pitch and only use it with cars and tents. Please note that the pitches with electric hook-up are located on the tarmac runway and are therefore not suitable for tents.

 

I would like to have electricity for my camp. What options do I have?

You can take advantage of Plug-in’s offer for your camp and reserve one of their PowerStations in advance, which you can then pick up on site. It doesn’t matter which area you camp in.

You can also reserve one of the following areas with a power connection:

• • In the Campground R area you can reserve pitches with electricity (green area | asphalt) to camp there with your group
  • In the Caravan Park you can reserve the area “Caravan & Friends + Electricity” to have electricity at your camp. Please note that you can only use the area if there is at least one caravan/motorhome per plot.

 

We have accredited persons or persons accompanying people with disabilities (with a B or H on their ID) in our group. Do they have to be named during the reservation process and pay the reservation amount?

I’m coming by motorhome/camper, where can I park?

You can use all three camping areas with your motorhome. This means you can use the Standard Camping, Campground R and the Caravan Park.
Please note that a prior reservation is required to use the Caravan Park and Campground R.

 

Where can I park my caravan?

Caravans are no longer permitted on the standard campsite. However, you can take it to the Campground R and Caravan Park areas.

I would like to stand together with my group, what options do I have?

As a group you have various options:

• Standard camping: The area is available to you free of charge with your 4-day festival ticket. If you arrive together and number your cars consecutively, our marshals will take this into account and camp you together.
  
• Campground R – Group areas: For groups of 10 people or more, you have the option of reserving a group area in Campground R. You will then be given a marked-out area.
  
• Campground R – Pitch with electricity: If your group would also like to have electricity in the camp, you can reserve a pitch with electricity in the Campground R area. Fixed pitches are available there.
  
• Caravan Park: In the Caravan Park you can also use the Caravan & Friends areas (+ electricity) as a group. Please note that it is only possible to use the pitches if there is at least 1 motorhome/caravan on the pitch.

 

We are a group and have a caravan, what do I have to consider?

• Campground R – Group areas: From a group size of 10 people you have the possibility to reserve a group area in Campground R. You will then be given a marked-out area adapted to the size of your group.
  
• Campground R – pitch with electricity: If your group would also like to have electricity in the camp, you can reserve a pitch with electricity in the Campground R area. Fixed pitches are available there. You can also reserve several pitches in one booking, which will then be arranged next to each other.
  
• Caravan Park – Caravan & Friends (+ electricity): In the Caravan Park you can use the Caravan & Friends (+ electricity) areas as a group. You can also book several pitches next to each other. Please note that it is only possible to use the pitches if there is at least 1 motorhome/caravan on each pitch.

 

Can I take my transport trailer to the standard campsite?

Yes, you can take your transport trailer to the standard campsite.

 

I am coming with my transport trailer, what do I need to bear in mind?

You can use the standard campsite and Campground R with your van. You can only use the Caravan & Friends areas in the Caravan Park as long as there is a motorhome/caravan on the pitch. A single transport trailer does not entitle you to use the areas in the Caravan Park.

 

Are there parking spaces outside the campsite?

Yes, this year it will again be possible to park vehicles outside your booked pitches free of charge. Please make sure that you only use the designated areas. Please note: Please bear in mind that it will not be possible to drive your vehicle back onto the site during your departure on Sunday. You will have to expect longer waiting times. Therefore, please bring your vehicle back to the site in good time.

 

Can I rent a portable toilet in addition to my booked space?

Yes, when you reserve a space, you can order a portable toilet at the same time as booking. This will then be available directly on your space. Exception: When booking mobile toilets for Caravan/Womo Only areas, you must report to the mobile toilet issue point with your proof of purchase so that the toilet can be brought to your pitch.

If you have not reserved an area and are on the standard campsite, you can book the mobile toilet individually via our ROCKHARZ store.

We would like to arrive on Tuesday, is that possible for all areas?

Yes, that is possible. You can arrive at all areas, i.e. the Caravan Park, Campground R and Standard Camping. For arrivals on Tuesday, we charge an early arrival fee per vehicle in cash on site. From Wednesday at 8:00 a.m., arrival is possible without further costs.

Monday arrival is already possible for the Caravan Park. Please note that this is limited and must be booked in advance per vehicle as part of your site reservation.

 

Is Monday arrival possible for all festival guests?

No, Monday arrival is limited and only possible for guests who have reserved an area on the Caravan Park.

 

Can I pay for the Monday arrival in cash on site?

No, the Monday arrival must be booked in advance during the booking process for the pitches on the Caravan Park (per vehicle).

 

Are sanitary facilities already available at the Caravan Park on Monday?

Yes, flush toilets and showers are available at the caravan park.

 

Can I go to the infield on Monday?

No. Only the Caravan Park is open on Monday. The other areas such as Standard Camping, Campground R and Infield are closed to guests on Monday.
